Day 01: Called to valor

Scripture: Judges 6:12 (ESV) – “And the angel of the Lord appeared to him and said to him, ‘The Lord is with you, O mighty man of valor.’”

Devotional:

Mighty man, God sees you as a warrior, even when you feel weak. Gideon was threshing wheat in fear when God called him “mighty man of valor.” Like a Marine receiving orders, you’re called to rise above doubt and embrace your identity in Christ. The Hebrew word for “valor” (chayil) means strength and courage. God’s presence, not your feelings, makes you mighty. Whether facing personal battles or cultural lies, you’re equipped to stand firm.

Your mission starts with knowing who you are in God. The world wants you to be passive, but God commands action. Reflect on Gideon’s call—God saw his potential before he did. Today, claim your identity as God’s warrior, ready to fight for His truth.

Reflection:

Where do you feel unworthy of God’s call? How can you trust His view of you over your doubts?

Prayer:

Lord, You call me a mighty man of valor. By Judges 6:12, help me trust Your presence and rise in courage. Equip me to fight for Your truth. In the Name of Jesus, amen.

Action Step:

Write down one area where you feel weak. Pray Judges 6:12 over it, declaring, “God is with me; I am mighty.”
